As part of The Expanded City project, The Decorators undertook a mapping project along Garstang Road, one of Preston’s main an arterial routes, connecting its centre and peripheries. Over a number of months, they bused, walked, photographed and, in parts, audio recorded to reveal some of the social, cultural and spatial delights that are to be found along this key road through Preston.
Garstang Road Stories is a series of four conversations with business owners at four key points along a 2.7 mile stretch of Garstang Road. The participating voices help give a more intimate insight into this busy road and include:
