The MET was originally designed and constructed on the former Preston indoor market site in the city centre, which had been cleared for the future multi plex cinema development, Animate. Urban liminal spaces are ideal for testing new ideas, this became a useful site to design, and construct MET over the next nine months. The launch in May was followed by a six-week programme of events produced by the Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library staff, where we discovered what was possible within the venue.
