Ian Clegg is a photographer, art director, illustrator and lecturer whose main photographic practice is editorial and advertising. Clegg’s personal projects push the boundaries of the standard photographic process.
‘Hex pinhole’ camera utilises 6 separate lens holes to create 6 images of the same scene; subtly different photographs appear and question the reality of the normally one record of that instant.
Clegg is currently producing colour final images by means of a black and white only camera. The separate filtered exposures combine to make surreal colour and intriguing tones. This is particularly suited to plant life, bringing out something special in the rendering.
